Iron Maiden - Run For Your Lives (2026)

Iron Maiden tour banner

Heavy metal titans Iron Maiden are yet again charting a course to Toronto. This time, they're celebrating 45 years since their first visit to Canada & the US. Joining them will be metal vets Megadeth, who have recently rung the bell for their imminent retirement. While the setlist is shaping up to be killer, diehards have had plenty of opportunities to see Maiden. Are we past the point of victory lap and creeping into annual subscription territory? Let's break it down.

Update (10/29): A second date was added – Sunday, August 30th. See the Presale Dates section below for updated information on ticket sale dates. With two shows, and dynamic pricing reported, I'm even more confident in recommending Wait here.

The factors

Let's crunch the Numbers of this Beast. Here's everything pushing this presale up or down the FaceValue scale.

Legacy Act Oversaturation -8

While every year we see a run of legacy bands poised to run off with the pensions of boomers (please... stay...), I expect to see an even stronger lineup in 2026. More acts means more choices for consumers. With tours being announced with more runway than ever, Rush making their grand return, and Rogers Stadium quickly becoming the dadrock Mecca, it's never been a better time to be Rich and Retired in Roronto.

The Perfect Setlist +2

For this run, the band promises a setlist that covers the groups golden era from their iconic debut to the legendary Fear of the Dark. Eager fans already know to expect a stacked setlist if they took a peek at what Europe got.

Finally, a Maiden setlist built for the people that discovered their music through Guitar Hero & Rock Band. I know that'll be what secures my ticket πŸ˜„.

I made a setlist (kind of long) with all Iron Maiden songs that are available to purchase in rock band 4 game, looks pretty awesome, hope they add more, does anyone play Rock Band also?

Ohhh, the nostalgia..

2 Minutes Since Midnight -7

Iron Maiden's claims the tour is to celebrate 45 years since the group first visited Canada and the US, which is... fine? The band played Scotia just two years prior with singer Bruce Dickinson doing a solo show only a month ago. While the previous Scotia show sold well, it wasn't completely packed out.

I remember seeing tickets for quite cheap day-of for this one

This run feels more like the band playing calendar math. Is 45 supposed to be a number that energizes us? If only the band's first voyage was 22 years earlier... Now that'd be a tour with cross-generational pull!

My Last Words? +2

Supporting act Megadeth makes this a monster bill for classic heavy metal fans. The group recently announced the beginning of their end, with a final album and farewell tour before retiring the axes. Rock and roll is no stranger to the neverending farewell, so time will tell whether this truly marks their Countdown to Extinction.

Fan are expecting a proper headline run through 2027. Given this show is 10 months out, we should expect to know by then whether this will be Toronto's last dance with Megadeth. If it is, that will surely drive up demand.

My recommendation is Wait. Legacy tours aren't known to show mercy with pricing, and there's no reason to assume an exception here. There is ample time for prices to cool between now and August.

I expect resellers to Run to the Hills for this one come showtime.
